Imagine your child joyfully leaving for school each day anticipating an engaging and happy learning environment, where they are met with a curriculum that supports their developmental and emotional needs.
Goora Gan Steiner School is located by the beach in Agnes Water, a stunning coastal town on the tranquil Discovery Coast of QLD. An accredited P-6 Primary School, Goora Gan Steiner is the first school of its kind in the Wide Bay region. Founded in 2015 with a blessing and its name given by Gooreng Gooreng Elder Uncle Merv, the school opened in 2017 offering Prep-Class 2 for eight students and has grown to over 60 students and 10 staff.
'Goora Gan' means sandy loam Country.
Goora Gan Steiner School acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our school operates and throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to Gooreng Gooreng, Gurang, Taribelang Bunda and Bailai people and their Elders past, present and emerging.

In 2023, Amity Blue teamed up with Goora Gan Steiner School,
inviting students to custom design a luxury, eco beach towel to
contribute to the school’s fundraising efforts.
‘Goora Gan Country’ was the result, featuring the local
flora and fauna of this land.
Each towel is made from 20 plastic water bottles!
With only 100 printed, and all funds raised contributing directly to the school, we hope you will love these iconic towels as much as we do.
